Gail Beck, raised on a farm and ranch on the edge of the cap rock near the Canadian River grew up drawing and painting.
Gail worked as a graphic artist in High School and while attending West Texas State University. After graduation he worked as an art director while painting and sculpting in spare time. He worked as an illustrator, designer for 15 years for Mesa Incorporated. While studying wildlife and landscape painting Gail worked as a designer for the Center for International Development in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.
Gail has sold art to note worthy collectors like Jim Fox, the Director of the St Louis Museum of Fine art, Boone Pickens and has displayed work in private showings, in the Amarillo Art Museum and presently has the Pneuma Gallery in Sunset Art Center Amarillo Texas.
Gail is a born again Christian and incorporates a spiritual message in many of his works. The word pneuma in Pneuma Gallery is Greek for the breath or Spirit of God. |
